Steven Gene Wold (né Leach), better known as Seasick Steve, is a blues musician. He was born in California, USA. He usually plays personalised guitars and sings about his early life doing casual work. Steve made his first UK television appearance on Jools Holland's annual Hootenanny BBC TV show on New Year's Eve 2006, afterwhich his popularity exploded, and he commented "I can't believe it, all of the sudden I'm like the cat's meow!"
