RIP Mark Lanegan

Screaming Trees frontman and former Queens of the Stone Age member Mark Lanegan has died at the age of 57. The band pioneered a sound that combined 1960s garage rock with 1970s punk - which later became known as grunge. Although they never achieved the mainstream success of contemporaries like Soundgarden and Nirvana, they scored hits in the US with Nearly Lost You in 1992 and All I Know in 1996.After the Screaming Trees went on hiatus in 1996, he joined the ever-changing line-up of Josh Homme's Queens of the Stone Age.

Stereophonics to support Pearl Jam at BST Hyde Park

Stereophonics will join Pearl Jam for their second night at BST Hyde Park.

The British rock band will support Pearl Jam at their huge gig in central London on July 9, with the event marking the Stereophonics' first performance in the iconic royal park for a decade.

The 'Handbags and Gladrags' hitmakers last played at Hyde Park in 2012, when they performed for the opening ceremony of the London Olympics.

Dave Grohl planned 'bitter' Foo Fighters breakup

Dave Grohl wanted Foo Fighters to stage a bitter breakup before announcing a 'Reunion Tour' two weeks later.

The 'Best of You' rocker admitted he had a "funny plan" to promote one of their future albums which would have seen all the band members - including Taylor Hawkins, Pat Smear, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett and Rami Jaffee - each write a book insulting the other musicians.

Paul McCartney has announced his highly anticipated upcoming 2022 “Got Back Tour.”

The North American tour will kick off on April 28th in Spokane, Washington and conclude June 16th in Rutherford, New Jersey. Along the way, McCartney will make a stop at Los Angeles’s SoFi Stadium on May 13th.

This will be the first time McCartney has hit the road since 2019. Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10AM.

Guns 'n' Roses Slash has revealed Guns N' Roses are aiming to release new songs this summer.

The 'Patience' rockers released two tracks, ‘Absurd’ and ‘Hard Skool’, both reworked outtakes from 2008's 'Chinese Democracy' in 2021.

The notorious record was delayed for years and held up by legal hassles, while Slash, bassist Duff McKagan and drummer Matt Sorum quit the group, and only frontman Axl Rose and keyboardist Dizzy Reed remained.

Speaking to Consequence of Sound about when fans can expect new music, Slash teased: “There is new material coming — everybody’s always asking.

“I would imagine that there will be one or two songs that come out around the time that we hit the road in June.”

Bring Me The Horizon 2021 'Post Human' tour achieved 38 per cent less touring emissions.

Oli Sykes and co managed to make impressive strides towards making their runs eco-friendly last year.

The chart-topping heavy rock band managed to cut 27.97 tonnes of CO2e, while imposing a plastic bottle ban meant they didn't use 3,322 bottles. xxxx The 'Teardrops' rockers also swapped out trucking fuel for HVO Renewable Diesel, according to a report by the non-profit AGF (A Greener Festival).

The Who, Ed Sheeran, Liam Gallagher and more are set to play Teenage Cancer Trust shows.

The 'My Generation' group's annual fundraising concerts at London's Royal Albert Hall are returning in 2022, following a two-year hiatus owing to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Frontman Roger Daltrey, 77, said: “Live music has been hit hard by the pandemic and it has been particularly frustrating for me that we haven’t been able to get artists on stage to raise money for this vitally important cause.
