Ween is a US alternative rock band formed in New Hope, Pennsylvania, in 1984 by childhood friends Aaron Freeman (Gene Ween) and Mickey Melchiondo (Dean Ween). The band is known for its eclectic musical style, drawing influences from various genres such as rock, punk, psychedelia, country, and funk. Ween gained a cult following for their humorous and irreverent lyrics, as well as their ability to seamlessly shift between musical styles within the same album.
